A class action lawsuit is one in which a large number of people have similar legal claims against the same organization or company. To proceed with a class action case the court must permit the case to be a class action and must provide class certification. Many of our cases are filed as class actions because they increase efficiency and lower legal costs, thus benefiting all plaintiffs in the lawsuit. We actively handle such violations as class actions because it enables us to reach a comprehensive and rapid resolution for the wrongdoing that has already taken place and at the same time, allow us to obtain judgments that change corporate practices in the future. We have filed and been appointed class counsel on a variety of class actions. Before appointing us class counsel, the court conducts a rigorous investigation to assure that the firm meets certain legal requirements and that the firm has the necessary resources to handle the case.
